Els equipment in Golf Digest – D8 swingweight – yikes!!! D6 minimum for me, and that’s with a counter weighted shaft and midsize grip. What is your opinion? I recently increase d my whole bag to D3 it gives me more feel of the club head. For the LONGEST time I had almost religiously tried to play drivers as light as possible, shaft weights, head weights, and swing weight, so for me that wound up being 60 gram swingweigbt, and D1 SW’s, lately I’ve been going heavier and heavier and my consistency has been getting downright mechanical, mid mid 80 gram driver shafts with swingweigt head weights and SW’s, I haven’t found any noticeable distance loss because the heavier swinvweight seem to keep my tempo in check, my swing just feels more “grooved”, and I feel more comfortable going after the ball, if there is any distance loss at all, it palls in comparison to more accurate tee shots and more fairways hit witch winds up equaling more total yardage off the tee throughout a round Shaft insertion depth 1.
